The Prelude
Wear it before you commit
- Five testers per tray, one per fragrance.
- Sprays only. Roll-ons and Édition Limitée are not testable.
- Testers order separately from full-size bottles.
- Collected free at the atelier: each fragrance once in 12 months.
Your first commitment should be to the fragrance, not the bottle size. Five testers, chosen by you, worn in your own life. The bottle can wait until the scent has earned it.

A $10 credit toward your bottle
When a shipped tray arrives, a $10 credit follows, good on any full-size spray, 50 ml or 100 ml, for 90 days. Commit to a bottle and the Prelude was free.

What is The Prelude?
The Prelude is the ÉCLATAUR tester program: a fragrance tester set you curate yourself. Choose up to five testers from the collection, wear them in your own life, then commit to the bottle that earns it.
How much do testers cost?
Testers are free. You pay one flat $10 shipping per tester order, which covers up to five testers, or collect your tray free at the Sunnyvale atelier.
How many testers can I order?
Up to five per order, one per fragrance. Every tester is the true Eau de Parfum from the same batch as the full bottle, never a reformulation.
Can I order testers together with a full bottle?
No. Testers ship on their own and cannot mix with full-size products in one order; place them as a separate order and both go through.
What is the Prelude Credit?
When a shipped tester order completes, you receive a $10 credit toward any full-size spray in the permanent collection, 50 ml or 100 ml, valid for 90 days. It returns your shipping cost when you commit to a bottle. Roll-ons, sets and gift cards are not included. Pickup orders, being free, earn no credit.
Can I send a tray to a friend?
Yes. Build the tray, and at checkout choose "For a friend": give their address and email, your name and a note for the card. It is posted to them in the gift bag with no price in the parcel, and the atelier writes to them once, with the page for their testers and the Prelude credit in their own name. Your receipts come to you.
Can I reorder a tester I have already tried?
Yes, in a shipped tray: order it again whenever you want another wear. A tray collected free at the atelier holds fragrances you have not tested in the past 12 months.
