Ingredients and craftsmanship

Every ÉCLATAUR fragrance is composed from materials selected for their character, quality, and longevity. We do not formulate to a price point. We formulate to a standard. Every bottle is built around our proprietary VELUM base accord system, blended in small batches at our Sunnyvale, Texas studio, and macerated a full 30 days before release.

This is our architecture of presence, and it begins with what goes into the bottle. You can read more in the house story.

Our compositions are built from a small, carefully chosen palette. We disclose the general categories openly while keeping individual blending ratios proprietary.

• Imported natural essential oils: sourced from established suppliers across France, Italy, India, and the Middle East. These are the soul of every fragrance, from bergamot and rose absolute to oud, sandalwood, and vetiver.
• Aromatic compounds: modern aroma molecules used by perfumers worldwide for clarity, projection, and longevity. Materials such as Iso E Super, Hedione, Ambroxan, and Ambrettolide form part of the VELUM base accord system.
• Organic grain alcohol: the carrier for our Eau de Parfum sprays. We use 200 proof organic grain alcohol, the same standard used by traditional French houses.
• Organic fractionated coconut oil: the carrier for our roll-on perfume oils. Lightweight, stable, and gentle, it delivers fragrance to the skin without greasiness or oxidation.
• Vitamin E (tocopherol): added to roll-on formulations as a natural antioxidant, to preserve the integrity of the oil base.

Every ÉCLATAUR fragrance is formulated in accordance with the safety standards of the International Fragrance Association. IFRA is the global self-regulatory body of the fragrance industry, and its standards govern the safe use levels of fragrance materials in finished products. Compliance with them is the universal benchmark for fine fragrance worldwide.

Our perfumes are made at luxury fine fragrance concentrations:

• Eau de Parfum sprays: 20 to 25 percent fragrance oil concentration, the standard for serious niche perfumery.
• Roll-on perfume oils: 25 to 30 percent fragrance oil concentration in a fractionated coconut oil base. The higher concentration and the oil delivery together create a more intimate, skin-close trail.

After a batch is blended it rests undisturbed for a minimum of 30 days in cool, dark storage before bottling. This is maceration. During it, the materials marry, soften, and develop the depth and roundness that distinguish a properly aged perfume from a freshly mixed one.

We do not release a batch early. This is our small batch standard, and it is built into every product page, every batch record, and every bottle that leaves the studio.

Our fragrances are personal cosmetics intended for external use only. Please follow these standard practices:

• External use only. Apply to pulse points such as the wrists, neck, and behind the ears. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.
• Patch test first. If you have sensitive skin, apply a small amount of the included tester to the inside of your wrist or elbow before wider use.
• Flammability. Eau de Parfum sprays contain organic grain alcohol and are flammable. Keep them away from heat, sparks, open flame, and hot surfaces, and do not smoke while applying.
• Storage. Keep bottles in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Avoid bathroom storage, where humidity and temperature swings shorten shelf life.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Sustainable luxury and artistry coexist here. As a small fragrance house we built thoughtful choices into the process from the beginning, rather than retrofitting them later.

• Small batch production. We produce in small batches to limit overproduction, reduce waste, and make sure every bottle meets our standard before it ships. Nothing is mass manufactured.
• Recyclable glass bottles. Our spray bottles are heavy glass, fully recyclable through standard curbside programmes once empty. We avoid unnecessary plastic in primary packaging.
• Minimal outer packaging. Each order is packed with the least protective material needed to ship glass safely. We do not over-package.
• Trusted suppliers. We source raw materials from established suppliers who comply with IFRA standards and recognised practices for ethical fragrance sourcing.
• A tester-first model. The Prelude and the Try Before You Unseal guarantee both exist to reduce returns, reduce waste, and help you commit to a fragrance that is genuinely yours.

Every full-size Eau de Parfum spray ships with a complimentary tester of the same scent and concentration, packed outside the sealed box. Wear it on your skin first. If the fragrance is not yours, return the unopened bottle within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, and the tester is yours to keep.
