ÉCLATAUR ÉCLAT is a smoky amber cologne for men, an Édition Limitée Eau de Parfum handcrafted in Texas by the founder of ÉCLATAUR. Pineapple, bergamot and blackcurrant open it brightly, almost sweetly, before birch smoke and blonde tobacco take the heart and turn the whole thing dry. Saffron keeps an edge on it; oakmoss, sandalwood, tonka bean and labdanum hold the finish close for twelve hours and more. It is composed in house, with no single reference behind it. Macerated for thirty days, released in 100 ml only, in strictly limited quantity: an Édition Limitée is bottled in small runs rather than kept in permanent stock, so it sells out and returns when the next batch is benched.

I’ve been really impressed with Eclataur. I own Seraph and Lucide, and both are beautifully done in their own ways, Seraph is softer and more elegant, while Lucide feels fresh and clean. You can tell a lot of attention went into the scents, and they last well too. I’ve gotten quite a few compliments wearing them. Definitely a brand I’d recommend.
